Born in Rome in 1924,
Angelo Frontoni was a self-learner and began working as a photographer
in 1957 with a story on Gina Lollobrigida, who had just completed the
shooting of "The Most Beautiful Woman in the World". His sensibility
towards women and his personal technique using lights contributed to
make him one of the most sought-after photograhers by stars in Rome,
Paris and Hollywood. Most actresses in the world of cinema have
been photopraphed by him and he also did many artistic nudes. |
He worked with Sophia
from 1961, on the set of "Madame Sans-Gêne" unitl his death in
2002,
a couple of weeks after his last photo session with Sophia
dressed in Armani.
Sophia considered him a friend and personal
photographer for many years.
