QUOTES AND REVIEWS

"Ms. Loren is charming as Lucia; audiences seem to love her even more now, in her gracious middle age, than they did
when she was an international sex symbol."
The Wall Street Journal

"Mama Lucia is my grandmother. She's my mother. She's all the people who lived around me in my little hometown"
Sophia Loren

"I don't care. I don't mind playing ugly. I don't have to prove I'm beautiful. I never did."
Sophia Loren

"I doLoren is becoming something of a TV movie regular - she was in 'Courage' last season and before that 'Aurora' and 'Sophia Loren: Her Own Story' - and she is still a charismatic screen presence."
Kathryn Baker, Associated Press, 3 apr 1988
