Days of Russian Culture Concert - May 20
Sophia attends with her son Edoardo a special concert during the "Days of Russian spirituality and culture", in honor of pope Benedict XVI, in Vatican City. The concert is promoted by Russian patriarch Kyrill I and features the National Russian Orchestra directed by Sophia's son Carlo.

Douro Film Harvest - September 11
Sophia attends the closing ceremonies of the Second Douro Film Harvest festival where she receives a a life-time achievement award. Dates: September 5-11.

Miss Italia in Salsamaggiore - September 13
Wearing a skintight sparkling silver dress, Sophia sits on the judging panel for the pageant, held at the Palazzetto di Salsomaggiore, before crowning the new Miss Italia 2010 Francesca Testasecca.

Praemium Imperiale - October 13
Lifetime Achievement award. It is the first time the prestigious Praemium Imperiale - which comes with a $180,000 prize, is given to an actor. Dressed in an elegant blue dress, Sophia picks up in Tokyo her award from Prince Hitachi of Japan.

New Damiani Store in Dubai - November 28
Sophia is guest of honor at the opening of a Damiani jewels store at the Dubai Shopping Mall, accompanied by Giorgio Damiani.

New Damiani Store in Kuwait - November 30
The Damiani Masterpieces Collection is launched at Al-Thuraya mall in Salmiya, Kuwait, in the presence of Sophia Loren, Giorgio Damiani and Najla Maatouk and other dignitaries, ambassadors and prominent figures.
