Sophia flies to Frankfurt from where she goes to Karlsruhe, West Germany, to receive the Most Popular Foreign Actress Actress at the annual ceremony held at the Schwarzwaldhalle. Sophia attends the famous French festival for the fourth time where La Ciociara is in competition. Sophia is on hand to receive her first David di Donatello award at the Teatro Greco in Bullfighting in Aranjuez - September 5 While in Spain for the making of Madame Sans-Gêne Sophia takes a break and goes to another bullfight at the historical plaza bicentanaria in Aranjuez during the September celebrations called "festejos taurinos". La Ciociara in Los Angeles - November 12 Sophia and Carlo fly to Los Angeles and attend the Hollywood premiere of La Ciociara followed by a lavish party given by Joe Levine. They fly back to Rome on the 20th after a short stopover in New York City and Sophia returns to the set of Boccaccio '70 a few more days before flying to Paris for her new movie opposite Anthony Perkins..
